We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to produce and implement functional software solutions. You will be working for a Telecommunications Solution provider with ambitious growth plans.

In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organisation and problem-solving skills. If you also have hands-on experience in test driven development and agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.

Senior Software Engineer, typical day to day responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Develop, design and implement scalable, high-quality software.
  • Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
  • Mentor / coach development team as necessary.
  • Test first approach to continuously improve code quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and debug distributed systems.
  • Be an agent of change moving towards DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors and customers to fix and improve products.
  • Document development phases and implement automated monitoring.
  • Ensure software is up to date with latest technologies.

Senior Software Engineer, Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
  • Extensive experience in test driven development, technical architecture and delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience of secure by design principle.
  • Good hands on knowledge of specific programming languages (C#, TypeScript, JavaScript) and Microsoft .Net development landscape.
  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases (ideally MySQL) and documents databases.
  • Containerised applications and relevant container orchestration tools.
  • Good understanding of DevSecOps process.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Having a hands-on experience developing cloud-based solutions using AWS, Azure or Kubernetes or other PaaS alternatives.
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.

Senior Software Engineer, Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of web component architecture and frameworks.
  • Familiar with Python.
  • Exposure to Terraform or other IaC frameworks.
  • Experience building Helm charts as well as different application packaging systems.
  • Knowledge of code quality and security scanning tools.
  • Azure DevOps or TeamCity / Octopus Deploy.
  • Experience using system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science or relevant work experience.

Careers: Unified Comms Second Line Support Engineer

Support Engineers play a key role in managing the company’s relationships with our partners and their resellers and customers. Our team of 1st Line Support Engineers handle day-to-day issues but are backed-up by our 2nd Line team for more complex or unusual faults or issues. They will also assist in managing technical product and project delivery.

2nd Line Support Engineers will liaise with partners and internal engineering resources to identify and fix faults in a timely fashion, and will assist delivery functions in rolling out new products and services.

The role would suit an existing VoIP engineer who would like to work with an exciting new product or an experienced PBX engineer wishing to move from legacy products to hosted VoIP.

Second Line Support Engineer, typical day to day responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Managing assigned tickets
  • Trouble-shooting and technical analysis to determine the cause of faults
  • Liaison with partners either directly or via 1st line support to provide updates on faults
  • Liaison with other engineering support within Boom for more complex faults
  • Providing technical assistance for project delivery
  • Involvement in future developments of future products and services
  • Guiding and mentoring 1st line support engineers

Second Line Support Engineer, Skills (one or more of the following)

  • Hosted VoIP or PBX experience
  • Knowledge of SIP and ability to read traces
  • Knowledge of handset provisioning (e.g. Yealink, Poly etc)
  • Understanding of APIs, databases and software development
  • Experience of PortaOne
  • Understanding and/or experience of number management and number porting
  • Good technical background
  • Ability to solve complex problems

  • Good organisational skills, ability to work unsupervised

The purpose of this role is to analyse and optimise the data flows, portals and other interfaces. The successful candidate will have experience gathering, documenting, and interpreting business needs into concise functional/non-functional requirements within a large organisation.

This is very much a hybrid role and responsibilities will include a broad range of tasks relating to both Project Management and Business/Systems Analysis. You will be required to identify, manage, develop and implement next generation telephony functionality, to enhance customer experience.

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

The Partner Exec helps manage the company’s relationships with partners, their resellers and selected key customers.

The Partner Executive will be in charge of increasing business from existing partners, selling both to and through the Partner to their reseller community.  The Partner Executive will be responsible for providing training and onboarding new Partners and working with Partners to help recruit and onboard resellers.

Partner Executive, typical day to day responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Generate sales among existing customer Partners, including upselling and cross-selling
  • Support existing customers to win more sales and help them attract new trade resellers
  • Operate as the point of contact for assigned customers
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customer Partners including frequent telephone, video and site meetings
  • Make sure customers receive requested products, information and services in a timely fashion and assist with any customer queries as they arise in a prompt manner
  • Forecasts and tracks customer Partner metrics including managing and tracking pipeline with Partners
  • Manage projects within customer relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals
  • Identify opportunities to grow business with existing clients and communicate to the Management Team.

The Partner Success Exec helps manage the company’s relationships with its customers.

They are in charge of building long-term relationships with a group of partners and their resellers and from time to time with key end customers if required.

The PSE will own the relationship and be responsible for ensuring actions are followed through and will also work with the Commercial function to help grow sales and increase product penetration.
